Many individuals are experiencing prolonged symptoms of COVID-19, a condition commonly referred to as Long COVID. While I have not been diagnosed with Long COVID thus far, the lingering effects of the initial infection are becoming increasingly challenging. Since my previous post about testing positive for COVID-19, my condition has significantly deteriorated. Last night, I faced severe difficulty breathing to the extent that seeking emergency medical assistance seemed imminent, as recommended by an online government survey. However, due to the distance from the nearest hospital and the uncertainty of transportation back home after treatment, I hesitated to call for an ambulance. Fortunately, I managed to endure the night without requiring immediate hospitalisation. Although my breathing seems less strained tonight, it remains far from normal or comfortable.
Well, as you can see, the guy in the picture is definitely not me - I mean, look at all that luxurious hair! And don't get me started on those Ugg Boot look-alikes I'm sporting. Fashion faux pas, am I right?
On the eighth day of my battle with COVID-19, the lingering uncertainty of when this illness will abate weighs heavily on my mind. I am grateful to be on Long Service Leave at the moment, which eases my worries about work responsibilities. Nevertheless, the urgency to fulfil my rent payment persists, as it was originally due the previous Friday. The Real Estate agency has suggested that I can make the payment this week. Despite this agreement, I feel unsettled about the delay in meeting my obligation to the property owners.
My recent increase in sleep duration has been beneficial for my recovery process. Adequate rest is essential, and I have found it necessary to prioritize sleep. Although I have made an effort to start my day earlier in the past few days, I have yet to notice a significant improvement in my overall well-being.
Oh well, I'll just wait and see how things go tomorrow when I wake up. Well, actually, it's already today since it's past midnight. Time to hit the hay!
